TURNING INTEREST INTO ACTION

Who We Are...

Since our founding in 2017, we have been determined to make an impact. We emerged first in 2017 as a not for profit entity, constituted under West Bengal Trust Registration Act 1961 (TRUST DEED NUMBER IV-080500009/2017) with our Niti Ayog Unique ID by GOI as (WB/2019/0235971) in district Coochbehar of West Bengal. Our credit delivery method follows Association for Social Advancement (ASA) model, Bangladesh.

The purpose for setting up the organization was to initiate a significant change in the life of the poor’s specially, women, who are socially disadvantaged and economically exploited. And for this we operate micro financial and other related welfare services like free Health & Eye check up, different Awareness Camps for the poor and downtrodden women in the District of Coochbehar, West Bengal, India.

In the last half of 2018, we begun to work with our new wing which will motivate our group members to earn effectively and independently primarily with the range of manufacturing soft toys and ladies purses.

Till now from the date of inception we covered more than 30 villages with more than 1200 members who were benefited from us with the formation of Self Help Group (SHG).

We provide three types of Loan for our SHG namely, Income generating loan, Emergency Loan & Education Loan
Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.

Social Activities

Since our inception we believe and find that in rural areas the basic knowledge on health and awareness aspect were very low among poor socio-economic class which lead to poor sanitation and unhealthy environment. As a result every year we follow some basic programmes such as Health & Eye Check Up Camp, Meetings on personal including pregnancy related complication and environmental hygiene, use and maintenance of toilet, Importance of hand washing/stopping open defecation of children, Awareness Camps on Maternal and Child Health Issues, Reach out Campaign, Awareness of Leprosy Programme, Helping Poor Hands in different ways and importance of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan. All these activities provide some basis entities for healthy living.

Traditional Crafts Based Income Generation Programme

BCS’s Traditional Crafts-Based programme initiated in the last half of 2018, where we begun to work with the range of soft toys and accessories. However, we also worked in several other areas such as manufacturing ladies purses and bag using ropes and artificial pearls. Till 2019 we trained more than 200 members with this livelihood activities and now they earn smart amount with us through their talents.

Swayam Sampurna Activity

In order to improve the economical & social status of the localities irrespective of the Caste, Creed, Religion & Sex our Swayam Sampurna activity was dedicated to providing women with access to credit,was formally a very first NGO in Coochbehar, West Bengal who credited small loans for poor women who express themselves by tackling injustices and violence. Our moto is to financially assist the people of the locality under the poverty line and to assist them to tide over their destiny of misfortune as suffered by them. It will bring new focus of life by the education of self reliance for economic self sufficiency. Our loan products were of three types namely, income generating activities Loan, Emergency Loan (Health, Pregnancy) and Education Loan (For Education purpose). All loans will be disbursed after a week of formation of the group only.
